Confidential Telephone Support

Call the Pet Loss Support Line at:
(403) 246-0091

Telephone support is available for those who wish to speak to someone about their loss. Our phone volunteers are trained as support workers and have known the love of a companion animal and experienced the pain of pet loss. PLSG volunteers can offer you compassion and understanding, providing you with much-needed support to help you cope with your loss.

Our volunteers check the voice messages from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm MST, seven days a week. When you call us, you will be asked to leave a message with your name and telephone number. We will do our best to return your call as soon as possible.

People who call for support will be mailed a "Support Kit" which includes pamphlets and other helpful resource materials.

Phone support and support kits are provided free of charge.

Resource materials

In addition to a newsletter, the Pet Loss Support Group produces a wide selection of resource materials. These materials are suitable for individuals, teachers, mental health professionals, councillors, therapists, animal shelter workers and veterinary staff.

Some pamphlets are provided free of charge. Others are sold at a minimal cost to help fund the operation of the group.

More information on these materials can be found in our products catalogue.
