is an Alberta Society and is a registered non-profit charity. We are a volunteer run organization based in Calgary, Alberta. We were established in 1990, and were the first group of this kind in Canada!

Our group is dedicated to providing support to people who are struggling with their emotions concerning the death or physical loss of their companion animals.

Our mandate is to educate the public about the importance of the human/companion animal bond and the grief process. We recognize that our companion animals are not "just pets" - they are much loved members of our families!

We provide assistance to individuals and groups across Canada who are trying to establish a pet loss support group in their own community.

The Calgary Pet Loss Support Group urgently requires your compassion and time to help pet owners cope with the loss of their companion animals. 

Various shifts available, work from the comfort of your own home. No experience necessary, training provided.

The editor would be responsible for coordinating and developing   the Newsletter for the Pet Loss Support Group with publications three to four times a year.  Content of the Newsletter would be developed by the Board of Directors and submitted to the Editor for finishing.
